I am currently copying across my music collection from my old Dell to my new MBA. How do I search for and destroy corrupt or dodgy files? Is there a free app for this?

What sort of corruption or dodginess are you talking about? Why do you think you might have such files?

It's almost impossible for a computer to tell whether the audio data in an mp3 contains actual music or blips of noise, or if the file is complete.
There might be something that can parse meta-data (tags), but if a google search hasn't revealed anything, then there probably isn't such a thing.
