Hey, anybody know if this kit will be any good for a new 24" iMac?:

Corsair 3GB (1x1GB + 1x2GB): VSA3GSDSKIT667D2
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233051

It's nice'n'cheap compared to what Apple wants (to gouge) for 3GB pre-installed, but I don't know Corsair or its products. Does anyone have any experience with this model?

(of course in an ideal world I'd wait 'till WWDC to see if we'll be getting iMac updates, possibly removing the 3GB barrier, but we may require a new workstation in the office sooner than that)

I'm not familiar with this particular type, but Corsair makes very good RAM that many PC gamers swear by. In fact I have some in my Wintel box that I built from scratch, and I haven't had any problems with it.

This Corsair RAM is guaranteed Mac compatible, and we are selling it here in Canada.
It is a good budget choice.

If you want Mac support from your seller, I still recommend Data Memory Systems over NewEgg any day

Thanks
Trevor

Chances are, the new iMacs will support more than 3 GB's of RAM (why the current version doesn't is beyond me). If you can wait a couple weeks, I'd hold off.
