I decided my late 08 Unibody MBP needed a speed bump so I upgrade the ram to 8GB and bought an SSD, also moved a Samsung M8 1TB drive to the superdrive bay.
Did a fresh install of Lion on the SSD which is a Corsair Force 3.
But it locks up every 2 mins or so for about 20 seconds, get the beach ball and cant do anything. Tried used the TRIM enabler, got it working but made little difference (only slightly better), also disabled hibernate with no luck.

I'm thinking of returning the drive but the thought of going back to the 5400rpm drive scares me.

Anyone had any experience with this SSD on Lion?

I'm thinking of returning it if all else fails and getting a Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid drive

Have you updated the firmware? Usually with SSDs, first thing you do is update the firmware before doing anything else.

It will definitely need a Windows machine though.

Yup, updated the firmware last night using my old Bootcamp partition.
No difference.
