i recommend you get RAM from reputable sources such as OWC or Crucial.

We use Corsair extensively at work to upgrade IBM ThinkPads and it's excellent. Certainly as good as Kingston and a fair bit cheaper.

Not tried it in a Mac, I usually recommend Crucial as it's certified compatible.

I have used Corsair in some extreme gaming rigs, i.e. oc'ed and liquid cooled 12 gigs (3x4gig sticks) @ 2400mhz on the Dominator series with great success. They are known for excellent quality.
