Considering a ram upgrade for my 2011 vintage 3.2 quad-core Mac Pro. While I normally would buy my RAM from OWC, I'm looking at other vendors.

Corsair seems to be well regarded on the PC side of things, but their tools for finding Mac Pro RAM are terrible - it spits up laptop memory. So if I was looking for proper ECC RAM for said machine, what would I be looking for?

Don't bother with Corsair for a Mac Pro. They made a few ECC DIMMs, but it's not really out there and is expensive. Go with OWC or Hynix, Samsung, Crucial etc. They are way cheaper.
