I got an used iPhone X, but the screen installed on it is an LCD!

I’ve contacted one of the authorized repair services which quoted me almost 900 usd for oem screen replacement. They said that if I do not have the original display installed or in my possession, the cost of changing the display is nearly double of the usual price which is cca 400 usd.

Is this true?

Any insights and recommendations would be very much appreciated.

Also, there are no APPLE stores in my country.

It's true, Apple and their authorized units need the original damaged part or the price will skyrocket.

Just get a replacement aftermarket OLED. The highest quality non-OEM ones will cost $200, and are indistinguishable from the OEM one.
