Hi!

My 3 year old iphone 4's home button is not working well. Need to press it 2 or 3 times most of the times. Did some research, tried all the sw fixes (found online) but nothing happened, it's definitely a hw issue.

Do you know how much is Apple going to charge me to fix it in London? And how long would it take?

Thanks for your help!

The last person i Knew that had this sort of problem fixed it by simply restoring the phone.

I've done the repair and it's not too hard, but requires the patience of a saint and incredibly good eyesight/organisation for the screws!

Not sure what Apple would do, maybe just offer you an OOW replacement for a cost (£140 I think).

Cost me about $70 US because I tore the ribbon on the touchscreen when I reassembled. Hoping the cheap replacement screen isn't that cheap. Also wasted several hours of my life taking it apart like 4 times.
