Could i plug some type of hub into a USB slot for multiple USB's AND an audio out?

Thanks a lot for you help! The reason I am asking this is because I am considering getting a Macbook for my main machine and I want the cords to be to a minimum (external HD, speakers). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You're asking if there's a USB hub that also has an audio out jack on it?

I don't believe there is such a thing. There are hubs for USB ports, and splitters for audio jacks, but I don't think you'll find a two for one.

I don't know how much of an issue cords are for you, but you could purchase an external sound card. I have an external sound card for surround sound plugged in to my usb hub.
