Could my brother use an iMac G4 for his needs?

OK, maybe I should of put the in the PPC section. But, I didn't know which to put it in. Anyway, my brother (9 years old) needs a computer for web browsing. That's it. Nothing else. Just web browsing. I can get a pretty good deal on the iMac G4. While I realize it can't run the latest OS, could it still work for him?

Yes, should be fine as long as there's enough memory in it, and he's not using too much Flash.

Lots of young-ins love those flash games... if he won't touch it after the first use - you have your answer.

What speed?

If you are on a super limited budget -- look for an eMac.

You could probably find a top of the line 1.25 for $75 or less.

USB 2, one of the fastest G4s and wireless everything.
