Could new Sharp LCD panels reduce MBA bezels?

My first thought/hope was this might allow bezel reduction on the MBA 11" (my main complaint with this otherwise great device), but the article linked above mostly talks about non-rectangular shapes and iDevices.

I don't think the current wide bezel is the result of the display panel. It's because Apple wanted to taper the edge of the screen down to almost nothing so the computer would look thinner.
