Could not turn off wi-fi, Airplane mode mess

I noticed once you setup wi-fi there is no way to turn it off. Well, there is a way but it will require phone reboot to get out of the mess: Activate airplane mode - it will turn off wi-fi, but if you manually enable wi-fi - that is it - you would not be able to turn off neither wi-fi nor airplane mode. The remedy is to reboot - it will reset airplane mode.
