So that when they make the switch and release their LTE network, the supposed wimax iPhone 5 could run on it, or would they need to create a new iphone?
 
new phone. the point is that the LTE chip isn't ready yet. That's why ppl are saying Sprint might get WiMax now while AT&T & VZW get LTE later when LTE chips are ready.

LTE chips by Qualcomm are not ready yet. Qualcomm can't deliver that many this holiday season.
 
I will need to keep the kleenex nearby.

People will lose their damn minds if Sprint gets the 5 before ATT and Verizon. It will be insane.

This place will be filled with pages of "how can I break my contract" and "I am never buying another Apple product".

I am happy I didn't get a 4 now. On the slim chance the 5 is only on Sprint for a while.
