Mine isn't too bad, rather average for Apple.

Given the history of how Apple places only a moderate amount of importance on run times, I doubt they'll increase it. Yet they usually alude that they will, reality is they rarely live up to the hype. I've owned far too many Apple laptops to take the bait.

I think on average, Intel is claiming that Skylake Core M should give around an extra hour of battery life, which equates to around 10 to 15 percent better runtimes.

The new Asus with Skylake got about half an hour more, I think it was. Not that big of a difference.
