I finally made the decision to order it this morning. It feels pretty good. Now i gotta wait. lol. anyone kno how long standard shipping usually takes?

Depends on where you are. CA is quicker than NY. Total time to get it also depends on what's in stock.

Oh, and, congrats!

Depends on your location. If you live in Anchorage, you'll get it in less than a day after shipping. If you live in the middle-of-nowhere Kansas, it'll take longer.

For my macbook to get to New Zealand From Shanghai it took a week and a half because I had it built to order and there was fog at the airport so the shipment couldn't arrive! so I had no computer for two weeks...

i just got the tacking number now. estimated delivery is in 2 days. god bless apple! haha

Excellent! You will love it. Don't be too concerned when the next gen Macbooks come out. The one you are getting will serve you well. When you get the chance, upgrade the RAM to 4GB to get full speed and capability. No rush though. I used mine with 2GB for a while before upgrading mainly because I was waiting for a sale.

I took the plunge as well and ordered a refurb Macbook a few days ago.

I'm moving from a 1.25Ghz eMac/600Mhz G3 iBook combo, so hopefully it'll be a little quicker. Oh, I also have 4GB of RAM waiting for it... :)
