I have the early 2009 15" Macbook Pro 2.66ghz/320gb, I want to run counter strike source on it. I have installed the crossover 8.0 and windows 7 on bootcamp. What should i use in playing cs? the crossover 8.0 or the bootcamp windows 7? will they have the same results? I would prefer the crossover so that i dont need to switch to windows. and also, can i use the dedicated graphics card in bootcamp?? Please help!

I'm not sure if there's a way, bu I have tried several times to get CrossOver Games set up on my MacBook Pro to play Counter Strike, but I've never gotten it to work. It works in Boot Camp for sure.

With a game like CS you may be able to get away with running it on crossover. However, It is no competition with running it on your windows partition, that will always run smoother, faster, and with less bugs. Depends on your gaming style i suppose and how seriously you want to play.

I run CSS with Crossover Games on my unibody macbook 2.4ghz.
I would get a steady frame rate, some times drop below 30.
