Does anyone know how to query the computer for the number of files of a particular label (blank included) there are in a directory or folder and produce a nice report with sub-folders and a number next to them?

For example, you have a root folder with 3 sub-categorized folders. How could I ask for it to display a report for a question like "how many blank files are in...(place folder here)" and make it display something like this:

ROOT

Subfolder 1 - 7
Subfolder 2 - 3
Subfolder 3 - 10

Thanks for any help?
