I've had a rMBP since October, and had the ghosting issue, and got it swapped with a brand new machine last week. I'm saying this because both rMBP's have had the same issues, the first being random fan spinning. In both Mac OS and Windows, the fans will randomly go to full blast for about a minute, then go back down. This happens every hour or so. Checking the activity monitor/task manager shows there are no intensive processes running, and often I have no programs open.
The other issue is when I plug in a USB device into either port, for about 30 seconds the trackpad and keyboard stop working. After I click a bunch, they work again. Sometimes, when I have an external mouse plugged in, both the keyboard and trackpad stop working permanently until a reboot, whether I unplug the mouse or not.
These issues have happened on two computers, so why are they happening?
