How do I disable them. We have two in our bedroom. If I inadvertently touch them music blasts at 3 am. I know this is an easy fix. ALso I don't see a consistent cntrol on my iPhone. Sometimes apple music comes up. Sometimes it doesn't. Or am I looking for the wrong thing? I open the Music app on my phone and it shows nothing. Sometimes, ararely it does. I have two stereo systems, mini pair in the bedroom and homepod in the living room. Maybe it's getting confused between the two?

To disable them is to unplug them. As far as music/volume controls for them you have to do that from the AirPlay platter in the control center. Depending on your phone, swipe down or up from the top right or bottom right corner. You will see in the top right of the control center the AirPlay 2 platter. Click on that and from there you can access the controls for any specific AirPlay 2 device. This can also be done in the Home app by long pressing the specific HomePod or Siri of course. After it’s selected, it should become the default player in the control center or your Lock Screen.

You mean to unplug the power? I've done that before. Thanks. And to the airplay. I will check it out.

You could also create an automation that lowers the volume at night. I have done this so Siri doesn’t blast out an answer late at night when my wife is asleep. You can create another automation that resets the volume to your preferred level during the day.
