1. Where is Now Playing on watch screen? The small one above the clock that you tab to Now Playing. I don't see that anymore.

2. How to get rid of the most recent app on Dock? I want it to show only apps that I specifically put on Dock. Now there's always one most recent one on top of them.

And lastly to my surprise I can use my watch to lower volume for music playing on my HomePod 😳. How is that possible? How is my watch connected to HomePod? What is this sorcery?

Whenever you play something from your iPhone now playing should popup when you raise the wrist.
Not sure what’s the second point about cause my watch always uses the layout I specified.
As for HomePod, what you control should be your iPhone, and iPhone outputs audio to HomePod so you control that instead. I dunno, pure guess.

Yeah I don't have that. It's just .. gone.

For example. Now Playing is the first one on my Dock. Home shouldn't be there but it's there because I open it last night.

I'm surprised HomePod playing music through iPhone. I thought it would play it through wifi by itself.

I remember there was a setting in watch app on your iPhone to control the behaviour of “now playing” in early version of watchOS. Dunno how that works now. Mine displays as usual.

That one is not really “dock”, more like app switcher showing you a list of apps you have used before. Apple Watch don’t have a dock like iPhone or iPad (and mac).

HomePod don’t have its dedicated storage, the internal capacity is mostly for caching data. iirc HomePod only plays music wirelessly without device attached when you have Apple Music subscription. I could be wrong.

It is Dock though, and it should show Now Playing on the top.

If I remember correctly in the old version of watchOS settings like this it would show only my favorite apps there. Nothing else. And it's easy to remember where each app is.

(PS: I'm also not sure what the purpose of showing the most recent app on the top is, since we can double click the crown to access it anyway?)
(PS2: Is Home app appear there because I have HomePods mini? I tested double click the crown and it bring me to the last app I used: Now Playing, not Home. But Home still stays at the top.)

Ok oh well…
I just checked and apparently “favourites” are apps that will always display on your dock. When that is enabled, most recent app is still displayed, but they can no longer be dismissed. To me this design is weird, and I don’t really find any point here.

Home app do appear because you have HomePod. I have no such device so no home app.
