Just purchased my first iPhone last Friday, Black 3Gs 32GB, and having a ball with it.

1. If you have your location devices on do they still draw power from the battery while the phone is in sleep mode?

2. Does the headphone jack still show metal while inserted all the way into the phone or does it suppose to insert all the way to the plastic collar on the cord? Mine stops before it reaches the collar.

Thanks

1) Still draws power, Apple advises to turn it off when not needed, but mines always on and battery life is fine. Im sure more knowledgable people on here will tell you more, but in my personal opinion its not a huge battery drain.

2) My headphones go in all the way, leaving no 'metal' exposed, give them a little harderpush (obviously dont wedge them) but if its the 1st time youve inserted them it might need a little persuasion ;)
