So my Santa Rosa Macbook Pro has generally been problem free and gave me no issues since purchasing it in August of last year. But lately I have been getting the spinning beach ball a lot. I keep my computer very clean and I generally don't run more then a few programs at any one time aka safari, itunes, and adium and that is pretty much it. I still have plenty of memory available but my computer is always just lagging and i hear my hard drive crunching away for a good amount of time. It is especially apparent a few minutes after start up and when beginning my torrents. By the way I tried verifying disk permissions and I also reinstalled Leopard.
My second problem is I just went on vacation to Florida for a week. I got back and started up my macbook pro and got my battery all charged up so I could go to class. When i unplugged it my battery life normally showing over 3 hours became 50 minutes. I have restarted and recharged the battery several times to no avail it is always an ultra short battery life. The computer is not even being stressed. Anyone have any idea's what's wrong?
