Couple questions about Final Cut Express HD

Hey guys/gals

I'm going to pick up FCE in a week or two and I just have a couple questions before I take the plunge.

I've got a 1.8GHz G5 iMac with 1.5GB RAM... it should run fairly well on my computer right?

Can you create split screen videos with FCE? (I'd really like to know this one)

Kind of a stupid one, but overall are you happy you upgraded from iMovie... has it allowed you to create the things you've envisioned? I love iMovie, but I feel like I've hit a plateau with it.

Well about the "split screening", you mean being able to use two monitors right? Yes, you can do that...
