Couple ?s Re: Quicksilver and the Internet

1) Regarding Quicksilver, I have my hotkeys set to Ctrl+Space. Now do I need to click on the Quicksilver icon in my Dock first before that combo will work?

Or once I boot up the laptop, with nothing else open, can I hit Ctrl+Space to boot up Quicksilver?

2) Regarding my Airport card, perfect connection to the wifi network thus far. My only concern, the card appears to be constantly scanning. Is this normal? Or is there something wrong?

go to system preferences--> accounts--> login items --> is quicksilver an item in the box? if it is then it should start automatically at each start up ( should see a giant QS appears when the program starts). If not, click the plus button and add it to the startup items list. There are also options under quicksilver preferences for you to hide it from the dock and the menu bar ( if this is what you want).
