Cover Apple Watch to turn off screen

I'm sure a lot of people have already realised this but for those that haven't. If you rest your palm over the Apple Watch it turns off the screen.

I knew that if you covered the watch while there was an incoming call, it would reject the call, but I didn't know you could do it at any time to turn off the display

Strange, make sure your palm actually touches the screen.

Me too, I accidentally discovered it when I covered my watch while wiping it and realised the screen turned off.
