Hello. I'm a happy owner of a rMBP, the i5 2.7 GHz, however, I installed the Intel Power Gadget tool which allows me to track the current clock/power consumption in real time and noticed that it's most of the time clocked at 1.3 GHz, when doing some browsing, etc it almost never goes above the 2.0 GHz, when it's a 2.7 CPU with turboboost to 3.1 Ghz. Ok, when I open some more heavy apps it goes up to 2.7 or even 3.0 sometimes, but my question here is: Is it normal to be at lower clocks like 1.3 GHz for this kind of cpus? I always thought that it always be clocked between 2.7 and 3.1 and never under. Thank you!

Oh, that makes sense. Yes, definitely I believe that is whats giving me great battery time. Thank you for all the replies.
