So 1 of my fan on my dual CPU 4,1 is running at full speed. I've tried swapping out heat sink but that didn't resolve the problem. Tried doing the SMC and the PRAM reset as well. I've installed the fan controls but that didn't resolve the issue as well. So it is something within the board that is causing it. Anyone have anything else I can try?

Did you upgrade the CPU by yourself? If yes, any details? e.g. How you did it.

Is this issue appear all in a sudden?

Did you see any red LED on the mobo?

The CPU is the original 2.26 GHZ. I purchase the board off someone. I have a feeling it maybe a temp diode on the board that's gone bad. I didn't notice any red LED. I was trying to run the Apple Hardware Test but I was unable to start it with instruction discribe on the web of holding the D key down upon bootup.
