I have a 24" 9,1 iMac need a processor for apple says 3.06 intel dual core E8435 is the original socket P processor. All I can find available is
Intel Core 2 Duo T9900 CPU Dual-Core 3.06GHz 6MB 1066 SLGEE Socket P Processor. Cpu benchmark list them as different processors. Will the t9900 work? If not any idea where I could get one cheap? The t9900 are around 25.00 from china of course.

Not worthy of upgrading. Just keep the stock CPU if it still works, I guess.

Hey Nguyen we keep meeting up! The reason I ask is related to our other topic. I have a the 24" as well and the GPU flash app we were talking says only works on 2.93 and 3.06 model 9,1. I have the 2.66Ghz model. Don't see how that would affect the flasher but he went out of his way to add that note on compatibility. I f I could find one I was going to change it out while I was in there. If you think the VBios flasher will still work I'm good.

iMac 9,1 with 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 duo has an MXM slot. It's more a nuisance to disassemble the iMac just to use its MXM slot.
You already have iMac 2010. I would just use it.
Another convenient way is to use the kit for Chip programing. Price varies depending on the model (as cheap as 5$, as high as 200$ for professional repair shop).

I also have an HP 800 G1 USDT with an MXM slot, but have not used it for MXM-B (big size) card installation and flashing.
