Recently, I was converting video from my HD video camera, on my new software from Wondershare video convert. When converting these files I noticed my fan running very hard. My activity monitor said the processes first-(1) ConvertVid was at 98% and the second- (2) process also named ConvertVid was at 100%. I immediately was worried and forced quit one of the two processes. My CPU then jumped to 160% under the first: ConvertVid process. I then quit the program and haven't opened it since.

Well it's been a few days and when I look at istat I noticed that my CPU has been way different, and now it's actually worrying me, cause it's not being used. It's averaging at these stat- User: 3% System: 1-3% Nice: 0% IDLE: 97%:confused:

...and I noticed the memory has seemed to increase.. but I'm not too sure what these #'s for either the memory or GPU mean. Here are the numbers for the memory-

Also I'm trying to run DISKWARRIOR 4.2 but I can't do it if diskwarrior resides on my start up disk..here's the pic telling me why I can't run it... questing is how do I do it? I have an external HD that contains my time machine backs ups, but that's all. I also don't have my original 10.5.5 start up disk, but I do have my roomates 10.6.1 -- thanks.
