CPU of 2017 nTB and TB

Sorry i know this maybe a boring topic
I am considering my first macbook pro

I buy it just because i want to use lightroom
I read some post before, i am planning to upgrade to 16GB ram with 256SSD

I want to know the different between i5 2.3Ghz vs 3.1Ghz.
Is it huge different if i am not a professional user?

I think touchbar is not nessessary for me. But how about 2 vs 4 usb port?
I have no idea is it enought of 2 usb port only.

If i want to last more year for the Macbook, is it worth to choose the tb version?

Couple things to ask yourself:

1. any hardcore video processing? If the answer is yes, faster processing speeds will likely make a different; BUT - the big advantage comes into play when you factor in dedicated GPUs in the 15" which is why I'm asking question #3.
2. how big is your photo library? Obviously the main player in determining whether 256 is big enough or not. How willing are you to bring around an external if your library were to get bigger than your internal drive?
3. how important is portability, and how constricted is your budget? Obvious factors that play into whether or not you should be considering a 15"

1. I think i just only for photo editing

2. I put all the photo into the external harddisk rather than internal. The internal SSD mainly for install program only

3. I think i am not considering 15 inch
