I am getting a new 13" rMBP, but I don't know which model... Here are the options:
- rMBP 13" 8GB 3.0 ghz
- rMBP 13" 16GB 2.8 ghz

I am going to game (Cod4 and Minecraft, mostly), use xcode to programm, use garageband or imovie, etc.

So what do you guys think?

Thanks!

The difference in CPU speed in negligible... I'd go with the higher quantity of RAM.

8GB is way way plenty for video games

but playing games is your main thing, macs are stupid

they are more for design work - and then playing video games

Generally I recommend ram over CPU because the small difference in the clock rate won't really be noticeable, but your stated uses really don't indicate a need for the 16GB of ram.

I recommend the 8GB model.

Neither will perform better than the other at gaming.
