Hi,
I have an old MacBook Pro 15' early 2011. Back in 2015 I bought a new (not original) battery because the original was dead. After changing the battery, the Macbook was too slow to use so I bought a new MacBook – I needed it for work. Now I want to revive it and if possible fix the problem. The CPU is stuck at 800 MHz and the terminal command "pmset -g thermlog" says "CPU_Speed_Limit = 35". I tried all the voodoo like SMC, NVRAM / PRAM reset, fresh install and even running the MacBook without battery but nothing worked so far.
Any ideas how I can make this work again?
thanks
Hans
