CPU upgrade memory issue 2013 Mac Pro

upgraded the CPU from a 1620 to a 2697. Had 32 gig - 4 x 8 gig sticks.

All ram worked prior to upgrade, not after.

I can put ram in any slot, but won't recognize four sticks. I switched sticks and all will recognize individually.

Anyone else experience this?

Well the memory controller is now on the CPU so maybe it isn't quite seated properly?

Hmm, I can reseat it. I have been using it without issue with 24 gig for the past week.

Wondering if the CPU mem controller is buggered.
