It's just a button where if you click on it, it activates a "f10" key, and if you option click on it, it activates the f9 key features in expose.

There are better hidden Expose features, in my opinion (Like "desktop box")

oh. Well it seems that Crabby Mac's program allows the blob to be skinned.

Anyways, the screenshot that I took was just enabling the feature as-is in the OS.

Just an aqua themed button.

I don't know why anyone would want to clutter their screen real estate for this. Besides, it's an extra step over standard Expose methods.

Okay, this is the second utility program I've seen to make the Expose "blob" do stuff. What the heck is this "blob", and how does it function without these enhancements?

The Blob

Granted this app is for enabling the Aqua Blob, but it also makes it quite simple to change the "skin" of the Aqua Blob to your liking. I am not trying to say the Terminal will not do the job, just an easier way of doing it :)

Today's helpful explanation tells me what the blob is...now I'm wondering who would bother with it when hot keys or corners can be enabled. Wouldn't it be funny if you had so much crap open that you had to use Expose to get to the blob? (yeah, I know, it's always-on-top)
