Hi everyone,

Ive got my Macbook now for almost a year (10 months). And a month ago i suddenly had a crack in my screen (dunno how it get there.) at first sight i tought it doesnt irritate me so i dont care. But a week or two ago i saw on de right part of my screen a big (vertical) stripe with i supose stuck pixels . but they only show up when the screens becomes dark-grey (like in expose.)

Does anyone know what this is and if Apple will fix this? , i have 2 months left of apple care.

Take it to apple asap, but if they ask you to pay... I would seriously consider doing it your self. I did it with the plastic macbook, but this may be harder. It is a MUCH cheaper option tho.

AFAIK you can't change the screen on an AluBook yourself because it's bound to the case lid. Apple has to replace the entire top part of the laptop.

Oke thanks for the replies.
I wont be able to fix it myself, how big is the chance they say its free?
