Crack in Macbook Pro screen

There is a minor crack in my Macbook Pro screen and I was wondering if it's okay to leave it as it is.
It's in the right corner and about two inches long. Will this cause any other problems? Since it's a small black line in the bottom of my screen and everything else is working fine, I did not want to spend an exorbitant amount of money to replace the entire screen. It is the 2010 model so I'm planning on using it for at least three more years..

If the display is fine, it wont do any damage.
However, the crack can get bigger over time.
