Hey all,

I bought an iPad 2 a couple years ago; warranty is up towards the end of November. I dropped it about a year ago earning a useable screen-crack, and figured if I held off using the damage exchange portion of the warranty I may be able to snag a step up to a different generation or a mini assuming iPad 2 stock is lowering. Anybody have any experience with this or similar?

Well, I haven't had experience with this, but one thing to note is that since Apple is keeping the iPad 2 around still, I'm willing to believe they'll still be stock for retailers for warranty exchanges and purchases.

Why are you assuming iPad 2 stocks are lowering?

BB's replacement plan refunds your $, not the model. You get a BB gift card and can use it to buy anything you want - iPad Air, a microwave, or 35 candy bars.

Thanks for the comments/replies! I just simply assumed since they'll have 3 newer generations, they may step back from it a bit. If they refund for card, then works better for me anyways!
