question, i have a cracked keyboard, am the second owner, should i even bother with bring it to a apple store for repair (3.5hr from me), they same it could take up to two weeks to repair it.

the main reason i dont want to waste my time going to apple is because i opened the MB and cleaned it, will they know..

What type of macbook is it (when was it made)? I don't think it will void your warranty, because you have to open the bottom to replace ram, and the hard drive in the older models. What type of damage are you talking about anyway?

They probably won't know that you opened the laptop, and I strongly suggest you go take it to the Apple store. I don't think there is anywhere else that you can get it repaired and if you tried it yourself, it might make it worse.

what meant was i opened the laptop took the keyboard out and cleaned the inside, easy for me, the palm rest was already cracked. i can replace the keyboard myself but free is free..
