Hello,

I got a MacBook Air 2010, a couples of months ago and I noticed yesterday that 4 keys are cracked. I came to an Apple Store to report the problem and they tell me that they have never seen this before… so it's my fault. They say that I probably left something on le keyboard before closing up.

This is simply impossible and honestly who would do that?... my Air is A1. If I had left something on the keyboard, how come that my displays mirror and my hinge are perfect?

Have you heard anything about this before? What can I do?

You could contact Apple directly via eMail (s.jobs@apple.com) or you could ask for the manager of the Apple Store you have been to.
Just because they didn't see it yet, doesn't mean it couldn't happen, if in fact you have no fault.

Same thing has happened to me

I haven't done anything strange to it, but I'm getting these strange star patterns on the bottom row of keys. Honestly, it doesn't bother me, and you really have to be looking to see it.

If the whole key starts to lose its top coat, then it might be another story.
