I went from a Curve to the iphone and on my Curve I had the ringtone from the movie Crank and I loved it! I bluetoothed it from a friend and I have no clue were got it. Do any of you possible know where or how I can get it on my iphone.

thats the ringtone i have....whenever my phone rings whoever is around thinks my phone is dying.

Ya its a great tone.. they think is either dying or drowning..LoL I dont want to spend ten bucks for it... there has got to be an easier way.. how'd you get yours?

i downloaded the file from a website, and then got a free program that converted it to the correct file type that the iphone needs for a ringtone. i have the m4r ringtone on my computer at home, and if you can wait until later tonight, i could probably email it to you.

Sure I can wait.. that would be outstanding if you would do that!

I tried to PM you but I dont see that option?

I right-clicked and did "save link as" and it worked just fine. Sitting on my desktop as an MP3 right now...

I guess i need to do it at hm... my wrk must have a filter on it.

So after I save it do i just email it to myself and then save it from my phone or is there i trick to it. Keep in mind I hv only had my phone for 6 days now, so I am learning the lil tricks as fast as i can.

Thanks everyone for the help!!:D

you need to download a program that converts the MP3 file to a M4R file

this website converts the files for you.... http://audiko.net/
for step 2 "choose the best fragment"....just select the whole 30sec's or so of the crank ringtone.

Here you go. Ringtone ready to rock. Just unzip it and drag it into itunes.

No prob. I thought it was a valid question. Apple doesn't exactly make it super easy to stick extra ringtones on the iPhone. Took me a while to get the hang of it.

You know what sucks? I have to wait to get home before I can use this on my iPhone because my iPhone isn't synced with the computer here at work and I don't feel like erasing all of my music.

LoL... Same here! waiting is one of my peeves! I was hoping i couple get the tone from my phone browser or something simple like that.

I do know a way to sync with my computer at work without erasing it, but if I plug it back in at home, it tries to copy ALL of my Apps to my iPhone... so I tend not to do the hack.
