crap... (e-mail problem)

i had set my g-mail account in apple mail to delete one-week old e-mails, on accident apparently, and only realized it now.

is there any way i could retrieve these deleted e-mails? there were e-mails from a few months and even years ago that i still wanted to keep!

Was the setting to delete mail from mail.app or from GMail?

You have a better chance if then you set your Gmail to archive its copy once accessed with POP.

BTW, aren't those messages still in your Gmail's inbox by default?
