It's not a house, it's a home.
Hi all,

I tried to export a Word file to a PDF using the PDF toolbar and my printer utility started bouncing in the dock so I opened it and then deleted the PDF file I saw since I thought it was going to print my long document instead of making it a pdf...I deleted PDFmaker instead of the print job! How do I re-install it? I can't even create a Word--> PDF in Acrobat Professional...Thanks!

What did you do to 'delete' PDFMaker? Just deleting something from within the Dock shouldn't remove it from your machine. If you do a spotlight search for 'pdfmaker' what do you come up with?

Hi, I didn't delete it from the dock - I deleted it from printer setup utility by accident.

Ahh, I see. That's a pain. I'm not sure exactly where those files are stored, but I'd recommend using Pacifist to see if they are on your OSX install disk. That would be my first guess.

Edit: can you simply add it again from within the Printer Setup dialog?

would it be easier just to reinstall Acrobat Pro? Can I do that without re-installing all of CS2?
You might be able to do that, yes. That's a better guess than looking for the OSX install disks. If you use Pacifist, you might be able to just extract the pdfmaker files, rather than installing all over again.

whoa. this Pacifist program worked like a charm. I just uninstalled Acrobat and re-installed it using Pacifist...Thanks so much!
