CRAP i didnt know 3.1 was out.. i was trying to jailbreak and it was messing up

and i was wondering why.so i try to restore and it says restore and update.. i didnt think anything of it cause i didnt know 3.1 was out ..but i guess it is ...crap...ohh welll i will wait for the dev teams jailbreak now.

it's not out. only in beta.

You can't accidently upgrade to a beta in iTunes. It's impossible.

If you press the "restore" button (not the "update" button) it always prompts if you want to update and restore. It's just standard text in the dialog. It's saying it'll restore, but if there's a newer version it will download that too. To install 3.1 you have to download it from the Dev Center and Option + Restore/Upgrade to get it installed. iTunes will not automatically find it.
