Ok, I went to the Crate & Barrel in Arlington (which happened to be right across from the Clarendon Apple Store here in DC) and they had several iMac shells (of different colors) as props for their home office furniture. There must have been at least half a dozen. I picked one up and saw that it had a motherboard in it, but with no circuitry! Very wierd, very cool.

I'm thinking of going back and seeing if they have any extra.....does anyone know anything about this?

They have the same thing in the recently opened store in Orlando.

I wonder if this is what Apple is going to do with all the old version iMacs? Not a bad idea for getting rid of inventory and keeping a high profile. I'll have to ask C&B about it.
