As you could see in the pic, the estimated battery life on my 16-inch MBP is 17+ hours at 100%. :oops:

I know that I'm only reading pdf documents on PDF Expert with EndNote, Safari and Mail open, but still... this is really astonishing. :eek:

And my battery max capacity is not even 100% now. After 9 cycles is about 99% of designed capacity.

I assume that is based on forward projecting consumption since last charge. So if you used it very little and continue to do the same it is probable correct. Now if you start gaming or computing something heavy the estimate will change and the battery will run out sooner.

And you battery is not wearing out. Some days it will go to 99, 97, 95% of design capacity. Other days it will go to 101, 102. Measuring battery capacity is an indirect process, so the value you see is an estimate.

You’re not going to get 17 hours regardless of how modestly you use it. The estimates should get more accurate as you use it
