crazy new iphone power adapter!

Has anyone else noticed the new power adapter for the iPhone! I can't believe it. It wouldn't be possible to make it any smaller.

Shame no dock is included, do you recon the old one will fit it, guess not, so thats an extra spend.

Still, I'm shocked at the size of that, its crazy!

also, i notice you're in the UK, and therefore have the old adapter. that one pictured is US only

Yes, that's definitely a U.S. power adapter.

You couldn't fit a U.K. adapter into something that size!

This is unfortunate because the international adapter that Apple sells wont' be compatible anymore. The old adapter was much more better looking IMO. And the ability to snap down the prongs made the previous design much more usable and portable and it helps avoid damages when snapped down.

I just had a chat with someone on the apple store. I wanted to know how much the dock would cost. I think she was trying to tell me about the universal dock (with remote). But what she did say was that the iPhone 3G comes with a universal dock adapter (the plastic tray). So at least that's something, and that isn't mentioned anywhere.

If you look at the U.K. iPhone specs page you will see that dock adapters are not included in the package, but you can buy a 3 pack as an accessory.

It doesn't look all that small. It's a nice redesign however.

I think I'm still gonna stick with my 8GB 2G iPhone - maybe until I switch to AT&T in September. (it's unlocked)
