I've had my 6GB mini since January but never used the supplied earphones until today (my over-the-ear ones just gave up the ghost).

I notice that when I move my head I sometimes hear a (sort of) creaking noise. It comes from the wires rubbing against the oversized holes where they go into the earphone tubes.

Has anyone else noticed this? Does the problem go away? Do I need to dab a little silicone spray on the wires so they slide around without creaking?

Thanks - Greg

Mine went away, but it took weeks though :(

Your best bet is to either get used to it, or replace the headphones. I don't even notice it much anymore. The silicone idea may work though, never tried that!

Thanks.

It's kind of a sticking/unsticking noise so making the wires slippery should help.

If was an uncommon problem I was wondering if it was due the age of the earphones without them being used.
