hello all,
after searching through google for a couple of days, i have not found a solution to this. i have an iso of windows 7 and i am trying to create a bootable dvd so i can install it using bootcamp. i used disk utility to burn it, but when trying to boot from it using bootcamp, it was not able to boot from it. is there any way to burn the iso so that it is bootable? by the way, i have no access to a pc, only a mac. any help is greatly appreciated. Btw, this is not a pirated copy of windows; it is a personal one.

Can you try booting it in VMWare/Parallels/Virtualbox to make sure the ISO is good?

Can you use something like Burn OS X to burn the ISO instead? http://burn-osx.sf.net

Thanks for the reply. Burn OS X burned it fine, but I still get the error message: cannot boot from cd code 5. Parallels read the image fine. I'm wondering, is it because once it starts installing Windows, does it only have a driver for the CD but not DVD?

Just want to let ya'll know, I have solved the problem. My dad actually the found the Windows 7 DVD, I guess the ISO he made was corrupt? Copied wrong maybe? Any who, the DVD worked flawlessly.

Hi all,
I'm having the same problem. I'm a complete beginner when it comes to this. Can you please guide me. firstly do I just burn the file without extracting/mounting. I've tried all possibilities that I can think of doing and all I'm getting is totally overwhelmed.
