I want to set up a Family calendar so we all have one calendar that we can view and make changes too. We all have iPhones so with the CalDav support I thought this would help... I don't know how to or what to use to set up something like this.

Any comments are appreciated.

Thank you,

AFAIK you can have each family member run a Google calendar and view them side by side, and your iPhones can sync to them.

Preferred CalDAV-enabled services

CalDAV is the way to go. However, in this area: Google Calendar's support for multiple calendars/collections is less than ideal, and when I last checked there was no CalDAV support for VTODO (to do items) in Google Calendar.

I recommend Chandler Hub,
https://hub.chandlerproject.org/ — an instance of Chandler Server that's hosted by the Internet Systems Consortium.

For shared edition of calendars/notes/to do items, IMHO Chandler Server is a better bet than Google Calendar.

https://bugzilla.osafoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12850 may affect users of iPhone OS 3 but I guess that this will be resolved before too long.
