I created this little shortcut, so in the morning I can just select the band I am wearing and it will automatically set the correct watch face.
Create a whole bunch of Apple Watch faces, either in the app of on your watch which are related to the colour of your bands (In this example I use Numerals Duo of each colour). Make a note of the order in which they are in (since you can't rename them and you'll want to select them later).
Then, create a new shortcut group called "Watch" (this comes in handy later). Then, create a new shortcut.
Use Choose from menu and start typing in all the watch band colours you have. This will give you some tabs at the bottom to add in the command you wish to action for each. Once you have your list add in the "Set active watch face" and drag into each of the sections, you'll need to create one for each. For each colour choose the related watch face (they will show up as one list, so remember the order). For each you'll want to disable "Show when run".
You have your shortcut.
Then, on your Home Screen add a new shortcuts widget - you can use a one tile widget, but I used a four tile (with the intention of creating a whole set of shortcuts for each of my desired watch face styles - one for numerals duo, one for gradient etc). Press and hold the widget to select the group that you created called "Watch". This will then just show the shortcuts for this group.
If you've done it all correctly what you will be able to do is simply tap on the watch face you want to wear, and a list will then show you your watch and colours. Et voila. The watch will change automatically to the correct face.
You can probably be even slicker than this and have just one button to select band and then watch face from a menu, which would potentially make things easier when you purchased a new and colour. But, anyway I quite enjoyed making it and I use it daily.
