I installed a wireless G network adapter in my PowerMac G4 and got it working with a Ralink driver though the card is another brand.

It works swell, I suspect the chip is Ralink anyway. But my problem is that this computer is going to be used by smaller kids and I don't want them to have access to change any of the wireless information.

When you sign into an account for the first time since the computer has started, a window called the "Wireless Utility" pops up to allow the machine to connect. At this time it's easy to click something wrong or alter the settings.

What I want to do is make the window be hidden at startup (checking "hide on startup" in System Preferences doesn't work) and then quit the utility after it connects to the router.

Does the script need to run an application to run as well? If so I would like to do the same for that app as well.

Thanks all.
